TURBOPOWER® exchanger
DURASHIELD® barrie
r

A 3-step process including a robotically applied arc-sprayed copper layer infused with PTFE polymer.

COPPERSHIELD®
Copper-clad Fire Tube
s

Steel tubes are wrapped in pure sheet copper, which is sealed by a TIG weld to form contiguous waterside barrier.

Solid Bronze Fittings,
Solderless - Bolted Design

Tank connections thread into corrosion-proof bronze fittings that can be removed from the vessel.

SPECIALTY MATERIALS:
PVI also manufactures pressure vessels from 439 series stainless steel, a material that is inherently corrosion resistant and requires no lining. Ability to use this material is limited to narrow diameter pressure vessels, such as in the PLATINUM® condensing water heaters. It is approved for use by ASME code in the rules pertaining to potable water heaters.

For indirect steam-fired,section VIII heat exchangers, we use 316L stainless steel in our CSX/ISX product lines, but limit their use to installations where dissolved chloride levels in the water supply are very low; less than 70 ppm. Click to learn why PVI does not use any 300 series stainless steel (i.e. 304, 304L, 316, 316L) in direct-fired heat exchangers, unless the product is heating de-ionized water.
