The 23-inch flanged vessel opening inherent in the SUPERTANK® design allows complete access to the vessel during lining application and testing. Lining is applied only after the vessel is completely fabricated and all welding is completed. Several layers of the polymer material are applied and each new layer is oven cured.

POLYSHIELD® Polymer Tank Lining

"Anode-free" construction. Total access to the tank interior for lining application and testing and the quality of the coating material combine to encapsulate the steel. As no steel is exposed to water inside the vessel, anode rods serve no purpose and are not used.

Every square inch of tank surface in every SUPERTANK is electonically tested by wet electrode method to be free of lining discontinuities. No SUPERTANK water heater ships until the lining passes both thickness and continuity inspections.
